A Ray of Hope: New Beginnings
is set in a time many years after the Cold War when the world took a different stance on what was important. Instead of trying to maintain peace, the superpowers decided they wanted to see who could be the most powerful. World Ward III began and it was apocalyptic. One war right after the other. Greed and power, not God destroyed ninety percent of mankind and the world’s infrastructure. When the wars began, the rich moved into underground bunkers. After a few years of living in bunkers, those who survived the wars are resurfacing and now they have to learn to live with what is left.

The Narrow Path is about forgiveness
It is easy to say that you forgive someone, but since it is almost impossible to forget when you are offended, "true" forgiveness is extremely difficult to release. Scripture says you should forgive someone who wronged you seventy times seven times. Jesus is not saying to forgive 490 times; he's talking about forgiving in the most extreme situations-for example, the 430 years of the Israelites' captivity in Egypt. The Narrow Path explores a situation when two men meet along a path (one is a murderer, the other the victim) in a place where time has no meaning.

Elaine Scarver is a deaconess at Agape Community Church in Lancaster, CA. She enjoys reading, writing heartfelt stories, and traveling the world. Writing spiritual and inspirational stories concerning Christian experiences is her passion. Some of her stories are inspired by her dreams and personal experiences. She was inspired by a bible verse, Romans 12:6 into publishing her works, as God-given talents are meant to be shared. She believes that man’s greed, desire for power, lack of faith, and lack of concern for what God has given us, will eventually lead to overall destruction.
